How Corepetitus cut their service disruptions

Corepetitus is Lithuania’s largest online tutoring platform, offering one-on-one virtual lessons for school students in grades 1–12. With a core team of 10 and a network of 450+ modern personal tutors, the company has supported 6,500+ students and delivered over 165,000 individual distance learning lessons. To keep pace with their growing user base, Corepetitus depends on reliable and flexible payment infrastructure.

Challenge

Before switching to Montonio, Corepetitus used a different payment provider that caused frequent technical issues. Payments received via API weren’t always visible on their platform, and the PIS (payment initiation service) experienced ongoing problems. These issues led to customer frustration and added pressure on the operations team.

We had technical glitches using another platform. We didn't always see payments received via API on our platform. There were also issues with the PIS.

Solution

The development team recommended switching to Montonio. Integration to their WooCommerce store was quick and smooth, with minimal disruption to business operations. Corepetitus began using Montonio primarily for collecting payments via the PIS, which provided a more reliable and flexible experience for both customers and staff.

Results

Since implementing Montonio, technical issues have dropped significantly. The centralized system allows the team to monitor transactions more effectively and resolve any problems quickly. Having fewer lost payments and better visibility has reduced the operational workload of the team, allowing them to focus on serving students instead of troubleshooting backend systems.

Since we started using Montonio, technical glitches have significantly decreased compared to the previously used platform.
